2017 Monthly Recap #5: August

August is a transitional month at Lagoon. It’s the end of summer and the beginning of preparations for Frightmares. This year, August has been fairly quiet as progress continued on Frightmares and other small projects.

The biggest change this month would have been the long-awaited opening of the new north restrooms near Cannibal. The much larger facility opened on August 12. It includes drinking fountains, more stalls and a family restroom. The old north restrooms next to Samurai have remained open for the time being.

August 22 was the last day of daily operation. The popular night show, Verano, ended August 26 with the day show, Jungle Rhythm, ending the next day.

There are a lot of new things coming for Frightmares in September so stay tuned to Lagoon Today!
