Here&#8217;s a rundown of what happened in May:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Lagoon 2017 - For Summer Fun, There&#039;s Only One!\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8qbrgTLs8QI?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>A new 30-second TV spot was released<\/li>\n<li>The Campground opened for the season on May 5<\/li>\n<li>The Spider opened with a new computer system on May 6<\/li>\n<li>A new Zeppe&#8217;s location opened near Colossus: The Fire Dragon on May 12, which was also the annual USU Physics Day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_4926\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-4926\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4926\" src=\"http:\/\/lagoonhistory.com\/project\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/20170513-Zeppes-by-Shane-Dustman-e1496113765890.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\"\/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-4926\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo: Shane Dustman<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>On May 27, Lagoon-A-Beach opened and the new day show, <em>Jungle Rhythm<\/em> began<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Other improvements include new wood siding on the Log Flume, and changes to the front of Game Time where the old latticework from the early &#8217;80s was removed<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The new north restrooms look very close to opening<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rides that have not yet opened in 2017 include Catapult, Hydro-Luge, Samurai and Terroride<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">COMING IN JUNE<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">June promises to be a big month for Lagoon with a lot of media attention and the beginning of the regular season on Friday, June 2&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>The June issue of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/saltlakemagazine.com\/in-the-mag\/\">Salt Lake Magazine<\/a><\/em> features Lagoon with some old employee stories and trip-planning strategies.<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sltrib.com\/home\/5152530-155\/whats-new-at-lagoon-its-a\"><em>Salt Lake Tribune<\/em> article<\/a> teased a few details about the updated Terroride and a planned opening date of early June<\/li>\n<li>KUED announced a special which will be broadcast on June 5, 7 and 10<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Follow Lagoon Today on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/lagoontoday\/\" data-slimstat=\"1\">Instagram<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LagoonToday\/\" data-slimstat=\"1\">Facebook<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lagoontoday\" data-slimstat=\"1\">Twitter<\/a> to stay up-to-date on what\u2019s happening at Lagoon!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Although Lagoon wasn&#8217;t open daily in May, there were busloads of school kids streaming through the park during many weekdays as well as national dance championship contestants during the first three weekends.
