Lagoon announced on its social media channels on October 22nd that Jet Star 2 will close at the end of the season. Many asked for a reason, but there has been no further details except that “the ride reached its end of service life”. The post did add that “a worthy successor” has been planned for the space.
The Jet Star 2 has operated at Lagoon for nearly 50 years after it wsa relocated from Spokane, Washington where it opened as part of Expo ’74.
