Frightening Frisco has gone through several changes and updates since it first opened. Many rooms and elements have been added. For many years a moving train and horn was at the end, but it has now been removed. The entrance was on the north of the building and is now entered from the east side.
Fun house of fear
Opened: Oct 2004
Location: Davis Pavilion (west side)
This is one of the oldest Frightmares walk-throughs, but it has seen plenty of changes over the years. The entryway has been redesigned several times since 2015.

Malevolent Mansion
Opened: 15 Sep 2017
Location: Oak Terrace
This took over the location of Zombie Lockdown. It had significant updates in 2018 with many more changes in 2024.
Nightmare Midway
f.k.a. 20 Years Of Terror, Terrors Of The Past

Location: Davis Pavilion (east side)
One of the larger walk-throughs, this began as 20 Years Of Terror when Frightmares was celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2015. It featured scenes from and inspired by former Frightmares attractions. The following year the name changed to Terrors Of The Past. In 2018, it was renamed again, this time re-using the name of an older walk-through – Nightmare Midway.
Nightwalk

Location: Maple & Pine Terraces
One of the darkest walk-throughs at Lagoon, it was the first two earn a five-spider rating in what had previously been a four-spider scale. A small fire happened here in 2016, starting at one of the two large Grim Reaper figures that used to tower over the outdoor section. Some say it reopened an hour after the fire and was open the next day. The Grim Reaper figures were removed over the following week, however. In 2020, the layout was reconfigured and the entrance moved from the west side to the east, due to the addition of Engine 86. The entrance was later moved back to the west with stanchions added out front to help consolidate queue space.
Peter’s Pumpkin Patch

Location: Mining Town Terraces, Pioneer Village
An upcharge attraction for kids offering games, pumpkin decorating and cookies. The name is an homage to former park president, Peter Freed. Artwork for the attraction is by Utah artist Robin Banks.
Scary & crow’s straw maze

Location: Main Street, Pioneer Village
Kids follow a path that weaves through stacked straw bales and receive a treat around every turn. At first, this walk-through was found in Kiddieland in front of the entrance to Lagoon-A-Beach. Before Dinosaur Drop and Ladybug Bop were located there, it was the location of the Sky Fighter, Bulgy The Whale and Moonraker rides, which were dismantled during Frightmares to make way for Scary & Crow’s. After Dinosaur Drop and Ladybug Bop were installed, the straw maze was moved to Pioneer Village where it stretches down the length of Main Street.

SÉANCE
Opened: 2017
Location: Game Time building (northeast corner)
Not a walk-through and more than just a show, Seance is a unique Frightmares attraction with a very limited capacity. Many agree it’s worth the additional cost, but tickets often sell out quickly.

Spook-A-boo walk-thru
Opened: 1990s
Location: Park Valley Terrace, Pioneer Village
This kids’ attraction began in the old Scamper bumper car building. After the building burned down in 2021, it was moved to a picnic terrace in Pioneer Village.

TREAT STREET

Location: Lagoon-A-Beach (southeast corner)
Treat Street is a small walk-through for kids with a few different booths based on various Lagoon rides like Colossus, Flying Aces, OdySea and Samurai.

For a few years, the Opera House was re-opened to guests (just barely) when this fortune teller set up shop in the front doorway.

Not to be confused with the current attraction of the same name, this was an earlier walk-through on the opposite side of the Davis Pavilion.
PIONEER VILLAGE SCARE ZONE

Location: Brigham Street, Pioneer Village
This was the first walk-through to utilize the historic buildings in the north end of Pioneer Village, which many believe are actually haunted. Many of the props were first used in Psycho Dave’s Junkyard. A large rat and gorilla were once used in Lagoon’s dark rides and have since been placed inside Dracula’s Castle. The surrey from the old Stagecoach ride was also displayed with skeletal horses. See a video of parts of the Scare Zone here.

PSYCHO DAVE’S JUNKYARD
a.k.a. Psycho Dave’s Salvage Yard

Location: Current location of Air Race
This open-air walk-through was relatively tame and used elements from old rides and actual junk from Lagoon’s bone yard including passenger cars from the old P.V.R.R. and the gorilla that originated in the Haunted Shack and was later used in Terroride. Psycho Dave’s didn’t return after Air Race opened in its place in 2012, but many of the props were later used in the Pioneer Village Scare Zone. The namesake of this attraction was former Lagoon president Dave Freed.
TWISTED TALES

Twisted Tales was take on different fairy tales and children’s stories. It only lasted one season.
UTAH TROLL ROAD

Location: Speedway, Sr.
This was unique because it was added to an existing ride instead of a walk-through. Costumed characters would jump out and scare riders passing through the Speedway.
ZOMBIE LOCKDOWN
f.k.a. Lockdown
Opened: 24 Sep 2010 (as Lockdown)
Closed: 31 Oct 2016
Location: Oak Terrace
Based on a haunted prison, Lockdown became Zombie Lockdown in 2013 when it was taken over by zombie inmates. After it was replaced by Malevolent Mansion in 2017, the watchtower from in front of the building was placed over part of the Log Flume with lights and skeletons added. After Frightmares, the decorations were removed but the watchtower stayed in place throughout following seasons.
